Winning chefs will be awarded awesome prizes, and a prize drawing will be held for Tweeters, Facebook Fans, and mailing list members. Sponsored by Best of Raw, a trusted community of 6,500 raw foodists, the Truly Raw Cacao Recipe Contest is also the first step in the development of a new Raw Vegan Trade Association that will shape the direction of the Raw Foods movement.

This recipe contest is designed to
1) Explore the ‘truly raw’ cacao now available,
2) Bring light to the issues we are encountering as a raw foods movement regarding standards while 3) having TONS OF FUN!
More than 23 well-known and up-and-coming Raw Vegan Chefs in 4 categories will create recipes with this new cacao powder and butter, and 10 judges including Roxanne Klein, Rainbeau Mars, Rod Rotondi, Jennifer Patridge of Our New Earth, Daniel Krieger of The Luminaries and more will taste these delights along with a person who gets lucky and wins the drawing to be a judge on March 7 at The Katharsis Raw and Living Foods Bazaar!
